Hello everyone! I will be opening a daily Zoom room during the EdTech-a-thon event to share our progress with building the free AAC app. If you’re an expert (SLP, parent of AAC user, etc), please pop in! I will show our progress and struggles and ask for your feedback during the development process.
I expect the meetings to last around 30-60 mins, but the Zoom is always open and I’d love your feedback any time. If you can’t attend during the allotted time, still pop in during the day and say hi! The zoom room is open all day long (9am-5pm EDT) so we’ll always be available and would love to hear from you any time. (Just keep in mind that the Zoom will be busy during other scheduled events.)

Hello! I am a mother to an autistic minimally verbal 9 year old and AAC user. We currently use Touchchat with word power. As a parent, I struggle at times to find certain vocabulary within the app fast enough for her attention span. I am suggesting the AAC app have a microphone to text option that will also highlight and navigate through the symbols. This would make things more efficient and helpful for parents and staff ! HUGE thank you to the many wonderful people who attended today! It took me an hour to let my brain recover from all the great information I learned. I seriously appreciate the immense generosity of everyone who joined.
